Heritage Chester CIC will deliver spectacular heritage programming throughout 2026, making Chester's timeless story accessible and fun for everyone in our rich and diverse community, but we need your help!
We're asking everyone who can, to please support one of our fundraising campaigns and help bring our amazing city to life.
From now until October, we're delighted to have been selected as a recipient of the Co-op Community Fund.
This will enable us to break down barriers that prevent young people in Chester's most deprived areas from accessing their local heritage. By bringing free events directly to these communities, we will ensure geography and economics don't limit cultural participation. Through interactive workshops, storytelling and heritage walks, we will foster pride in local history while building connections between communities.
To support us when you shop, Co-op members can simply choose Heritage Chester CIC in the app or on-line, and watch our social media channels for how this will help us engage further with the community.
Thanks to our amazing community, the campaign we hosted on Spacehive raised £11,002 to fund 50-plus events across the year, with 80% completely FREE or under £5. And with so much support, Heritage Chester was able to unlock an additional grant from Cheshire West and Cheshire Council's Community Innovation Fund, demonstrating the strong community support behind the project.
You helped us bring family-focussed heritage activities to Chester all year 'round, from gladiator fitness with a BBC star to medieval craft workshops.
