Heritage Chester is a Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to promoting, preserving, and inspiring appreciation for Chester's unparalleled heritage.​
From Roman foundations to modern innovations, we celebrate the stories, places and people that have shaped our distinctive city through the centuries.
What we deliver
Our flagship initiative, Chester Heritage Festival, transforms the city for two vibrant weeks each year with a carefully curated programme of walks, talks, workshops, films and performances.

We are the creators of Rowvember and the 2024 Chester Heritage Summer Celebration, we open Chester's Historic Towers and we are the hosts of national initiative, Heritage Open Days in Chester.
Our events connect residents and visitors alike with Chester's rich historical tapestry.
