The survival of the historic 1799 Shot Tower is a symbol of the industrial base of Chester and the daily working lives of Cestrians. Chester was a base for companies with an international reach.
Drop into Chester's Shot Tower on Saturday 12 September and discover its fascinating industrial past. Chester's iconic shot tower is one of the earliest parts and amongst the few surviving buildings of the leadworks.
Visitors will be able to enter the tower and see remains of the central block and the Company house.
There is a limit of twelve visitors in the Tower at any time monitored by the volunteers due to the size of the tower. Visitors may have to queue for a few minutes if the tower is full.

Yes, the Shot Tower is accessible. The entrance door may not be suitable for large wheelchairs or prams.
