From secret masses in Foregate houses to today's beautifully refurbished sanctuary, St. Werburgh's tells a captivating story of faith, politics, and community spanning centuries
Explore fascinating displays that reveal how theology, politics, and local history shaped the building's evolution over the centuries. Admire the acclaimed Trena Cox stained glass windows, each with its own unique story to tell, and experience the impressive 3-manual Binns/Sixsmith organ installed in 2004. Knowledgeable stewards will be on hand throughout your visit to answer any questions and share additional insights about this remarkable church.
