About the Event

Come along and join us at the Grosvenor Museum for our new family activities created exclusively for Heritage Open Days. Follow our Architectural Trail to enjoy a closer look at some of the wonderful architectural features, and create your own model building to take home using our template.

• Pick up a trail from Reception.


The Architectural Trail and model activity are available during regular Museum opening times: Tuesday - Saturday: 10.30am-5pm and Sunday: 1pm-4pm.

  • Where can we park?


The closest car parks to the Grosvenor Museum are the Little Roodee Car Park, Grosvenor Road, Chester, CH11SL or Pepper Street APCOA Car Park, Pepper Street, Chester, CH1 1DF.


  • Is the venue fully accessible (without steps, rough ground, steep gradients)?


Partially accessible. There is wheelchair access (via platform lifts) to the ground floor, which includes Exhibition Gallery One, the Lecture Theatre, the Roman Galleries, the ground floor of the Period House, the Shop and the accessible toilet.


There is no lift to the first floor. On the first floor is the Art Gallery, Silver Gallery, Natural Cheshire Gallery and Exhibition Gallery Two.


There is a disabled parking bay outside the museum.

Yes. This event is suitable for all ages.


  • Is this event dog friendly?


Unfortunately, we are not able to welcome dogs on this event.
